Andrea Messina Weidemann

Commended for her “exceptional attention to detail” and “youthful creativity,” soprano Andrea Messina Weidemann has enjoyed a varied career in the vocal arts for the last decade. She has appeared as a soloist with the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra, Seicento Baroque Ensemble, the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, and Musikanten Montana, and in concert with Opera Colorado.

Andrea’s recent operatic highlights include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte; Woglinde, Ortlinde, and Waldvogel in Boulder Opera’s staging of the Ring Cycle; and chorus in the Philadelphia Orchestra’s production of La Bohème at the Bravo!Vail Festival. She performed Mademoiselle Silberklang in the touring production of Mozart’s Impresario with Opera Fort Collins, and sang in two regional tours with Ars Nova Singers. Andrea is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where she studied with Drs. Jeffrey Snider, Richard Sparks, and Elvia Puccinelli. She received her Masters of Voice Performance from Colorado State University under the direction of Drs. Tiffany Blake, John Pierce, and Thomas Angerhofer. Andrea is passionate about artistic collaboration and community events. She provides vox for multiple Denver-based electronic music projects and writes her own songs.

Sylvia D. Jones

Sylvia D. Jones is a soprano hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Audiences have acclaimed her singing as “angelic,” “full of passion,” and “tear-jerking.” Her versatility shines through her repertoire, spanning classical to gospel genres. Her talents have been showcased notably at Carnegie Hall as a recitalist (2022), A Baylor Christmas (2022) as a featured soloist, and the Baylor Symphony Orchestra aria concert as a winner of the 2024 Aria Competition. Sylvia is a graduate of the University of Washington (B.M. Music Education and B.A. Music) and Baylor University (M.M. Church Music). Ms. Jones is currently a doctoral student in Church Music at Baylor where she studies voice with Dr. Kimberly Monzón.

Jeremy Rohwer

Jeremy Rohwer is a tenor and music educator, currently in his third year at Plano East Senior High School. Jeremy graduated from the University of North Texas in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Throughout his time at UNT, he sang with Drs. Richard Sparks, Jessica Nápoles, and Allen Hightower. He was the finalist from the UNT choral department for the Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award for senior undergraduate musicians. He sang with the UNT A Cappella Choir at TMEA in 2020, and was a part of the choir’s virtual Southwest-ACDA performance in 2021.

He has sung in multiple professional choirs throughout the United States such as Dallas Chamber Choir, Dallas Bach Society, Band of Voices, Incarnatus, Orpheus Chamber Singers, and Tallgrass Chamber Choir. He has also performed solos multiple times with the Church of the Incarnation in Dallas on their monthly series, “Bach’s Lunch”. Jeremy is currently a member of TMEA, TCDA, and ACDA.

De’Evin Johnson

De’Evin Johnson, a distinguished baritone and native of Grand Prairie, TX, holds degrees from Texas State University, the University of North Texas at Dallas, and Texas Christian University. Renowned for his rich vocal timbre, stylistic versatility, and masterful artistry, Johnson has extensive experience in choral performance. He is a roster singer with esteemed professional ensembles such as the Orpheus Chamber Singers, Conspirare, Dallas Chamber Choir, and Pasion. In addition to his ensemble work, Johnson has appeared as a soloist with the Turtle Creek Chorale, Umanità Chorale, and various community choirs across Texas.

His solo repertoire includes notable works such as Considering Matthew Shepard, Fauré’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah, among others. Beyond his performance career, Johnson has a rich background in music education and ministry. After serving as a secondary choral music educator, he transitioned to higher education and now serves as an Academic Advisor in the TCU College of Fine Arts and an Adjunct Instructor. He also leads as the Young Adult Ministry Coordinator at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
