Curious about what it takes to be a member of the Arlington Master Chorale?
Here are some FAQs:
When and where are Rehearsals?
Rehearsals are currently at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W Green Oaks Blvd Arlington, TX. from 7:00 to 9:30 on Monday nights.
How often do I have to attend rehearsals?
The Chorale strives for the best performances possible. This is mainly achieved by having all singers to work through the concert music with the conductor and orchestra if applicable, therefore, attendance is mandatory. However, real life happens. If a member needs to miss a rehearsal, your section leader (based on voice part) needs to be notified. Missing three rehearsals before any one concert of the season will disqualify the singer from singing in that performance.
How much does it cost to be in Arlington Master Chorale?
Annual dues are $140. Members must have those dues paid in full OR have an approved payment plan through the AMC Treasurer in effect to sing in a concert. The amount is not prorated for the number of concerts sung or time of season joined. Limited financial assistance is available by application no later than the fourth week of rehearsals.
What is the uniform for performances?
Men: Black tuxedo, white wing tip tux shirt, black bow tie, black vests, black socks and black dress shoes. Members oversee obtaining their own tux, vest, shirt, socks and shoes. IF needed, vests can be ordered through a link on the AMC website in the Members section.
Women: Black top and skirt (both ordered through links on the AMC website in the Members section), black stockings, black dress shoes, pearl earrings and a single strand pearl necklace that should hang past the dress neckline (2"-4”).
